Gas assisted injection molding is a special injection molding technology developed on the basis of traditional thermoplastic injection molding technology, which is suitable for special performance requirements of plastic injection technology.
Gas assisted injection molding is a new plastic molding technology by injecting high pressure nitrogen into the thick wall of the part through the gas nozzle, and using the pressure of the gas to push the molten material to fill the mold cavity, so as to realize the gas pressure preservation and eliminate the shrinkage of the product.
Gas assisted injection molding has the following advantages:
1) Reduce the injection pressure and clamping force:
The clamping force is reduced by 30% to 50%, which improves the working life of the injection machine and reduces power consumption. In addition, gas assisted injection molding can reduce the injection pressure. Gas assisted injection pressure is 725MPa, and ordinary injection pressure is 40~80MPa or higher.
2) Products of precise dimensions:
3) It makes the plastic shrink evenly and can help eliminate the surface depression of the wall thickness plastic parts, making the size of the product more accurate and stable
4) Save material and weight.
5) Reduce the cooling time and shorten the production cycle.
6) Product design is more flexible:
The freedom of product design has been greatly improved.
7) Reduce the number of molds:
Parts of different sizes and thicknesses can be molded together to reduce the number of molds required.
Products that are difficult to be formed by ordinary injection molding methods can be replaced by gas assisted injection molding. It is mainly used to form the following three categories of products :
1) Extra-thick and rod-shaped products. Such as door handles, car steering wheel, window frames and seat armrest.
2) Large plate shaped products with reinforced ribs, such as tables.
3) Large, complex plastic parts with large thickness difference, such as TV face frame, car dashboard, etc.
