Injection mold design and manufacturing is characterized by high quality, high precision, high life, low cost and short production cycle.
The mold production process can be divided into three stages: mold design, production preparation and processing, assembly and mold trial. The details are as follows:
1. Sign agreements. Sign technical agreements with customers, and review customer information.
2. Mold design. According to customer requirements to complete the mold structure drawing, 3D modeling.
3. Raw materials preparation. According to the design requirements to purchase raw materials.
4. Parts processing. The main content of parts processing is semi-finishing and finishing.
5. Surface finishing. The cavity is ground and polished.
6. Heat treatment. This includes nitriding and quenching.
7. Mold trial. Preparation before mold trial (including material requisition, plastic drying, arrangement of injection process review of injection machine)
8. Inspection. The appearance, dimensional precision and mold quality of the plastic parts are inspected respectively.
9. Trim. Make corrections to the defects, and the mold is tested again until it is qualified and satisfied.
1. Preparation
Before assembly, we should carefully study and analyze the final assembly drawing, understand the structural characteristics and working performance of the mold.
Check the number of parts, and then carefully clean them.
2. Assembly principles of injection mold
Assembly principles can be roughly divided into :
1. The assembly should be based on the main working parts in the injection mold, such as the core,cavity and the insert.
2. Parting surface assembly should be based on the core parting surface, not on the cavity parting surface.
3. Through assembly adjustment, the mold should meet all aspects of the quality requirement of the product.
Mold acceptance is divided into mold comprehensive acceptance, mold trial acceptance, mold data acceptance, mold packaging acceptance of four aspects of acceptance.
1. Mold comprehensive acceptance
First check the appearance quality of the mold.
Check the size of the main parts of the mold.
Check the dimensional precision of the injection mold.
2. Mold trial acceptance
When the mold is opening and closing, the ejecting system, guiding system, reset rod and core pulling system move smoothly and soundly, without block and strain phenomenon.
Check the Cooling System and Venting System.
The surface of the product has no deformation, burning and depression, transparent plastic parts have no shrinkage holes, bubbles and other surface defects.
3. Mold data acceptance
When the mold is delivered, the mold manufacturer should provide the relevant mold information, such as the factory certificate, the mold instruction manual, the mold assembly drawing, the main parts drawing and so on.
4. Mold packaging acceptance
The mold should be wiped clean before leaving the factory, and the surface of all parts should be coated with anti-rust agent.
Cavity and core use overall packaging as far as possible.
