Elastomer + Hard Plastic Overmolding

Hard adhesive bodies and exporting soft adhesive two pieces are typically included in Overmolding products. One form of Overmolding is the Elastomer + Hard Plastic molding technique. The result typically consists of a main body portion (hard plastic) and an outsourced part (soft plastic). The hard plastic body is created during the production phase and then placed in the outsourcing mold to generate the soft plastic injection.


The Overmolding die can be used if the product output is poor. First, create a series of hard molds, and then manually press the hard plastic into the mold to create soft plastic. With a modest amount to prevent vacancy, the back of the soft mold is consistent with the main body of the hard mold. To remove glue without leaving an empty spot, the glue component should employ the strong plastic main body.

If the circumstances allow, it is also possible to use a Dual Shot Machine for injection molding.
